from 157 reviewsI just completed a big clean of my dryer (took the back off and the entire lint trap out) and also replaced the hose.I have no complaints about the hose. It did what is was supposed to with no flaws. The enclosed clamps were a joke. No matter how much or which way I turned them they didn't close. I reused my old clamps. The enclosed tape was shredded. Not sure how that happened, but I wasn't going to use it anyway so I didn't care.A note: take the time to disassemble your dryer to physically remove the built up lint. I always clean the lint filter after every use and use a vacuum hose attachment down the lint trap once a month. The pile of lint in the attached picture was packed into the very bottom of the lint trap. I only found it by removing the back of the dryer and then removing the entire lint trap.
Solid metalEasy installComes with replacement filtersEasy to clean, rather than cleaning out 30’ of duct work. Mine goes through the top of my house costing $$ to have cleaned. This indoor dryer vent is perfect easy clean. No hassles. Great product
This dryer filter does a great job minimizing dust and lint particles from escaping and becoming air born. I have also noticed lest dust buildup around the area the dryer is located at. As for the longevity of the product I will come back and update in a few months to see how the product has held up over time. So far I have been impressed in comparison to the standard round model with less filtration.
Does a great job filtering the air while adding heat and humidity back into the room. Catches and retains lint well but needs to be cleaned fairly frequently to operate efficiently. Cleaning is easy with the latch door. I would keep a little brush near by as it helps clean the lint off of the screen. It was fairly easy to install but there are bars in front of the hardware areas that made it a bit difficult. It came with everything I needed including additional filter, however, I swapped out the hardware for more stability. So far it been working well and holding up. Great solution for a temporary dryer situation. I like that is metal instead of plastic like others and it has a nice finish to it.
Needed a solution to a dryer problem after buying a house. Had a dryer delivered, and when the helpful hardware service technicians went to hook up the dryer to the outside vent, we went into discovery phase. After removing the stainless steel elbow, we discovered no duct work under the house, only a hole to the crawl space. An unusually wet season in North Texas directly beneath the scuttle hole made a mud pit (the only issue) that even the best wrestlers could not conquer. One brave soul tried so hard, but the venting method did not hold. So needed a short-term solution until we move into the dry season or an expert of the experts to run up through the attic. Hoomesun indoor dryer vent kit provided a good solution until the weather cooperates more. Easy to install, and once the dryer vent line becomes installed to the dryer and then to the line of the indoor box, a snap if you put a stainless steel elbow vent in it. I set mine on a small floor shelf. Industry is arguing over the two methods presently. As a precaution, you do need to stay home and wait till the dryer is done and check after a load in case of massive lint gathering in the filter, but it is easy, and they give you four filters. It does put out some heat. You may need to limit the amount of loads in a day. I have a smart dryer and a dehumidifier. Three loads were done to check the information put out there. My dehumidifier gives a percent of humidity. So, I start it when I start the wash to dry the air in the laundry room area. The dryer on a typical load through the Hoomesun indoor vent raises humidity by 6 % to 10 % from its original reading, depending on the size of the load and the length of time. You must clean it out every time and may want to use it at night. I can see up the piping. I can feel the piping and the amount of heat and even take a temperature. I can open the box up and check the level of lint. I have an air purifier as well and turn it on to deal with the perfume from laundry products, which reduces it. The front-load washers do not use as much water, and the new dryers do not use high heat constantly. For the short term, due to the weather and experts being busy in the moving season, an indoor dryer vent can help get clothes dried if used wisely. Do your research and assess your personal situation.
I have about a two foot distance to vent my microwave, so I decided to change from the 7” tubing that came with the house, and which was bent and scrunched to make the turn inside this cabinet, to this 4” tubing. I figure the loss of airspace will not matter much with such a short return. This tube keeps its shape despite the necessary bends. It was easy to clamp and tape in place.I now have more room for recipe books!
Wow! Everyone needs this! So easy and simple to use. My husband mounted it to the dryer with velcro but it can mount to the wall. Screws came with it to mount to the wall. If you have high electricity bills, use this and the dryer will heat your house and it works so well. It will also put humidity into the house so you won't have dry mouth/nose. Also, your plants will like the humidity, maybe even make a small greenhouse in your Laundry room. I cannot say enough good things about this product. We put a fan in front of it to push the warm air into the rest of the house. It can be an amazing useful gift for anyone.
This hose is nice. It is a little more aluminum foil-ish than other comparable dryer vent hoses. The key with these is to get the right size. You have to balance getting one that is long enough to allow you to move the dryer out when needed with one that is short enough to allow you to easily tuck the excess away behind your dryer. I went with a 4 foot hose and it was perfect. I could have probably got away with using a 3 foot one though. The hose is more flexible than it looks and I was able to maneuver it well enough to be able to push the dryer back to the wall. There is still a 4 to 6 inch gap from the wallThe hose fits most dryer exhaust and wall vent connections perfectly, Very snug. Those are pretty much standard sizes. The hose comes with two hex nut clamps to secure it to the connectors, using a screwdriver to tighten it down. However, I opted to re-use the thumb screw clamp that I had from my old hose because it is much easier to use and I could tighten them much quicker. Either way you go, it is pretty easy to install. It took me less than 5 minutes. The hose is well constructed and pretty solid, but really only time will tell.
I needed to use a longer hose, as the semi-rigid one i had was too short when i needed to pull the dryer out to make adjustments behind it.This kit came in clutch as the other hose wasn't even clamped to the wall or dryer, so the included clamps, and the aluminum tape came in very handy. The tape is EXTREMELY thin and I assume isn't intended to do anything except for seal any possible holes or punctures, but was helpful as the angle i turned the hose i had to adjust multiple times and i did create a hole.
Good dryer vent hose kit. Made of heavier gauge aluminum with fairly smooth internal airway. Hose is less rigid after it has been stretched out, but doesn't droop like my old plastic hose. With a little massaging, it fit right on my dryer outlet and clamped securely. I like that it comes with a small roll of thin aluminum foil tape for repairs or wrapping joints. I didn't use the gloves as my hands are too big and they seemed pointless. Clamp screws are slightly too large for 1/4" driver, probably 7mm, but they have a slot for a flathead screwdriver. Good product at a fair price point. Recommend buying the longer 8' option as unused hose remains collapsed if not needed and allows cutting off ends for reuse.
Best thing, this is the good all aluminum dryer flex duct. Not that junk silver plastic duct. So you are getting the right stuff. It comes compressed to about a foot long. You just pull to stretch it. I can't say what the full length is, I didn't need to pull it all the way. Plenty of material to connect to the house duct, make the turn, and make it to the dryer. Still had plenty to stretch if I needed to go further. The gloves that come with it, found those kind of useless. Yes, my hands got a little dirty working the duct into place. It washes off with soap and water.Foil tape is a nice touch. Wasn't even going to use it. I have never used it before. But this new house has a dryer duct that has a few flaws in it. So I went ahead and taped it this time. This has to be the thinnest foil tape I have ever used. While I have never taped a dryer duct, I have used a lot of foil tape over the years. This stuff is super thin, but it works. The clamps are stainless with what looks like galvanized screws. Don't expect any issues. FYI, the hex is a bit of an oddity. If you want to use a socket or nut driver you will need a 7mm for it. Not a standard size. Not to worry, a slotted screwdriver also works. That is what most people will end up using anyway. This duct feels just like the one I had at the last house, and it lasted 17 years without any issues. Didn't clog, catch lint, etc. It just worked. This one feeling exactly the same should work just as well.
The Hon&Guan 4-inch semi rigid dryer vent hose seemed strong and sturdy. It came with two hose clamps and some tape. It came in a long rectangle box. The 8 foot hose fit in a box that was about a foot long. The hose was silver color. The Hon&Guan 4-inch semi rigid dryer vent hose was made in China
I have ordered several Hon&Guan products and I have found them all to be of higher quality than what I could get at the local hardware store. This aluminum expandable duct came undamaged, shrink wrapped in a box. Inside the aluminum duct tube there as a roll of aluminum tape and a pair of knit gloves. Two Philips/hex clamps are included. I use this for my dryer connections as it has great heat resistance and you can mold it into the shape you need and it will stay that way. It comes completely compressed. The ends are cut with no special finishing on the end. I would expand where you need a bend carefully and only as much as you need to make your bend. Once you have expanded it, it is hard to effectively compress it back the way it came out of the box. You can cut this with a utility scissor or utility knife to length. You can oval it some to fit in narrow spaces but it can also kink if you push it too far.
I purchased a new laser cutter/engraver for my garage and I needed an overhead solution to evacuate the smoke it created out the nearest window. This duct is firm, easy to work with, and perfect for my needs (see pic). Fair warning, the further you stretch this duct the easier a person's grip can dent it, so consider that when using it.All in all I'm happy with this product. It's everything it was advertised to be and resolvecmy laser cutter smoke issue.
We included a bathroom exhaust fan in our bathroom remodel and I was looking for a short run of flexible 4" insulated duct. On of the bathroom walls is an exterior wall so I just needed a short run. Other ducts I looked at were longer that I didn't need. While researching ducts I learned the importance of using an insulated one (to prevent condensation from forming from the humid bathroom air which could cause mold/mildew in the attic.)This included two hose clamps and was easy to work with. It fit both the exhaust fan and exhaust vent ports perfectly.
